I had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel. The homemade preserves and yogurt provided for breakfast were delicious. The central location made it easy to explore the village's attractions. The room was stunning and quiet, with a comfortable mattress. The historical elements of the house, such as the wooden beams and antique furniture, added to its unique atmosphere. Despite minimal staff, the service was good. The meals, although limited in choice, were expertly cooked. Parking was convenient. I thoroughly enjoyed my short stay.

We arrived at this lovely little hotel without a reservation and were warmly welcomed by the friendly proprietor. The room we chose was spacious, cozy, and had a newly renovated bathroom. The highlight of our stay was the excellent table d'hôte dinner prepared by the chef. The food was outstanding! I highly recommend this hotel for its warm hospitality, comfortable rooms, and delicious meals.

Staff not very friendly.

The rooms we had were nicely redone and very clean. Donzenac is a little medieval village with lots of charm and a great location for a relaxing holiday. The hotel is conveniently located near the motorway, making it easy to reach and a good stop for an overnight stay.

Some updating of the decor in hallways etc is needed. The staff could have been more welcoming and friendly, as a smile goes a long way to make guests feel comfortable.

I had a wonderful stay at a charming small hotel in a picturesque French village. The room was beautifully decorated with stunning antique furniture and had a comfortable mattress for a good night's sleep. The bathroom was modern and clean. The service was minimal but still attentive. The breakfast had a limited choice, but it was a refreshing change. The location was easy to access and had a relaxing bar where I could enjoy a drink while watching village life.

The shower in the bathroom was a bit small.

A great stopover en route to Spain. Beautiful, traditional and quirky hotel with modern bathrooms. Clean rooms and comfy beds. Fantastic price and much better value than concrete box hotels along the motorway. We stayed in room 4 on our outward journey which was small but had a good, comfy bed. On our way back, we stayed in stunning and spacious room 5. Excellent food and wine served in the hotel. Local pizza restaurant and relaxing bar nearby. Looking forward to returning next year. Cozy period building with a big open fireplace, simple but tasteful decor. Expertly cooked dinner and fresh, pleasingly prepared breakfast. Extremely comfortable bed and quiet room. Felt completely relaxed, nothing too much trouble.

The guest rooms at La Gamade are amazing! They come with a private bathroom, complete with free toiletries and a hairdryer. Plus, the free WiFi is a great bonus for all us karaoke and casino lovers. You won't be disappointed!

Personally, I found the detached private bathrooms a bit inconvenient. But hey, that's just my opinion.

This place is simply amazing! The rooms are stunning and the beds are super comfy. The modern bathrooms are jaw-dropping. The price is fantastic and such great value compared to those boring chain hotels. The hotel menu has a good choice of delicious food and the nearby pizza restaurant is EXCELLENT too. The location is perfect, with a relaxing bar nearby to soak up the village atmosphere. Can't wait to come back next year!
